WELCOME TO TALKS WITH TRAVIS

 

Travis Brown, Level-2 Instructor Trainer,  will be hosting conference calls about topics that will help you hone your skills instruction. Our development as an instructor doesn’t stop when you pass your certification course. Getting better at teaching and connecting with your participants is ever-changing. It can take time to develop the tools for becoming an incredible instructor. Through these meetings, we will be giving you some shortcuts to accelerate your growth and establish a strong community of Mountain Bike Instructors.

Saturday, April 6th- Descending Technique with Roxy Ride & Inspire

This week on Talks with Travis we have a super special guest! Roxy from Ride and Inspire Coaching will be joining us to talk in depth about descending. We are going to dive deep into modern descending technique by going through changes in bike geometry, body mechanics and some tips and tricks to coach our riders to more confident descending. Wednesday, April 17th – Incident Reports and SOAP Notes
 
Join us this week to gain a better understanding of Incident Reports and SOAP Notes! The paperwork that we use in the event of an incident is incredibly important not just for caring for our participants but also protecting ourselves. We will do a refresher on what information is important to gather with these documents, look at some examples and discuss how this will essential for passing the participant onto definitive medical care.
