BICP L2 Bridge – Auburn, CA – May 2, 2021

L2 BRIDGE

INTERMEDIATE SKILLS INSTRUCTOR

Length: A 1-day course

Time: 8 am – 5 pm

Dates: Sunday, May 2, 2021.

Cost: $325.00. All participants must be in good standing with annual membership dues.

The BICP recommends that participants that have been certified prior to 2020 attend a Bridge course, this will provide you with the updated curriculum.

Attending a bridge course will reset your certification date.

Our Expectations: At this stage, we expect to see that as a rider you have mastered the Fundamental Elements and can demonstrate and teach ANY of the Level 1 & 2 skills. We will expect that you are comfortable and fluent with all current keywords and teaching points along with proper demonstrations and progressions performed using PLATFORM/FLAT PEDALS.

This course will test participant’s knowledge on stability and biomechanics, teaching strategy, site selection, goal setting, proper demonstrations, teaching points, keywords, progressions, and error detection for all L1 and L2 skills.

• Demonstrations

• Error detection and corrections
• Progressions
• Communication
• Leadership & Professional Conduct

Each student will be tested on their ability to demonstrate, teach, and provide feedback through error detection and corrections.

In order to pass the BICP courses, participants must pass a pretest, demonstrate an understanding of the material, perform a suitable teaching simulation, and pass a final written exam.
