Welcome to the Team

Our team of Instructor Trainers is growing as we welcome Colin McCoy as our newest Florida regional Instructor Trainer.

I am the husband to an amazing woman and father to two wonderful children. I am the Founding Director of ten10Active, LLC, offering private coaching and group clinics. Our goal is that we may help others to live life in the fullest possible way! I am also very excited to announce that I have recently opened a chapter of Fully Packed Adventure Ministries here in the Tampa Bay area! I am excited to bring mountain bike instruction and training to this ministry venture in the outdoors, to help reach, equip, and send others as well!

Currently I am a police sergeant, and have been serving since 2004. I got into mountain biking because I wanted to be more active in the outdoors….and I don’t like running 🙂

Soon after getting started in 2010, I found out that I could ride a mountain bike at work, so I got certified as a police cyclist, and then became an instructor in 2011 in order to teach hundreds of other officers to deploy for potential crowd management/riots for the RNC in 2012. I am now able to travel the country teaching mountain biking principles in application to crowd management with Tiger Mountain Tactical.

I began the first full-time Bike Unit at my department in January 2015. I have been blessed to work with amazing officers and to have had the opportunity to work with them to build this unit to a well-respected entity that engaged with our community. Our department was the first to host the Patrol Cyclist Instructor training, where I had the opportunity to learn from, and work with Shaums March. Learning the techniques offered in the BICP was such a great experience and helped me to grow so much more as a rider and instructor!

I am so excited to bring my experience and enthusiasm to the civilian world, as I start the transition out of law enforcement. I am thrilled to continue to learn and share this experience with others!
