What to do if you Encounter a Grizzly

Coaches/Guides, imagine it’s post-COVID: You’re managing a group in a remote area or even out for a solo ride when you’re surprised by a Grizzly. What do you do?

This is what happened to a man mountain biking near Billings, MT, this week, and can certainly happen to us as, after a few months of not being in the area, they may be wandering back into places that had been seemingly returned to them in the days of quarantine. A few questions we may ask ourselves now can greatly enhance our safety and the outcomes of such encounters as we return to the trails we share with them.
