Bruce Martens joins the BICP Executive Team
The Bike Instructor Certification Program proudly announces that we have hired Bruce Martens as Chief Business Development Officer. Bruce comes to this role with over two decades of experience serving the cycling community through his work with organizations like BICP. He is passionate about supporting our existing business of creating content and protocol for bike instruction and certification, networking with professionals and organizations from around the world to ensure we are in line with global trends and standards, and analyzing new opportunities to support our ever-growing community of bike enthusiasts, members, instructors, and partners. When asked what his objectives are from his work ahead, he states clearly and decisively, “to achieve our mission to be recognized as THE global standard in not only mountain bike skills instruction and certification, but the preferred progressive method for ALL bike instruction and accreditation for individuals as well as organizations and institutions.”
Bruce resides in Minneapolis, MN, with his wife, Lisa, and newborn baby Torsten. He is a fixture in the cycling community with a deep and long-established reputation for providing equitable opportunities for all people who desire to grow in competence and confidence on the bike.
Bruce’s balance of energy and enthusiasm with experience and professionalism will be immediately noticed.
