Instructor Trainer
I’m a new IT, just joining the rad team of coaches this year.
Why did you want to become an IT?
I love riding and especially coaching. It’s so rewarding to see people progress and grow as riders. Recently, I began teaching mountain biking at Indiana University and the course is based on the BICP curriculum. Coming from a PMBIA coaching background, I wanted to learn more and love the approach to teaching, assessing the skills of the rider in a controlled environment, and developing those skills before taking them to the trail. It’s an awesome program and I’m so stoked to join the team.
What do you want to contribute to the mtb world?
Everyone has a place on the bike, inclusivity is so important to the growth of the sport. I’d like to reach and bring more diversity to the sport.
Where/what/who do you coach?
I’m located in Nashville, Indiana (Brown County), I’m the head coach and team director for the Brown County Eagles NICA team, an adjunct professor of mountain biking at Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana. My wife Danielle and I own Brown County Bikes and host a variety of mountain bike events and camps, community rides, and youth camps. We love spreading the stoke and joy found on the bike.
Adventurously!
