Anson Wellington began his mountain biking journey in Brooklyn, NY, in 1996, where he developed his skills and passion for the sport. Progressing as a free-rider, Anson gained the support of several sponsors and became a prominent figure in the MTB scene, making multiple appearances in MTB videos and magazines.

Capitalizing on his growing reputation, Anson launched his own brand, supporting the MTB Street scene globally. When the industry shifted gears, he focused on trail riding and raced Enduro for a few seasons. His dedication to the sport led him to obtain Bike Instructor Certification Program certification.

Anson’s entrepreneurial spirit culminated in creating A Plus MTB LLC, a venture dedicated to advancing MTB skills and fostering a supportive community. Through A Plus MTB, he began coaching riders of all levels, leveraging his experience to provide high-quality instruction. Anson’s passion for education and skill development eventually led him to become an instructor trainer, where he now mentors the next generation of MTB coaches.
