ANGELA PETERSON
Instructor Trainer
Angela’s outdoor adventures began as a teen in Northern Minnesota, on the soccer field and horseback riding through the woods. These days, she is shredding through the forest on a mountain bike in the PNW, hiking with her charming Aussie, Striker, and gazing at the flowers, ferns, and moon. You may also find her playing the piano at home, eating fruit snacks, or at the gym.
Bellingham, WA, became home for Angela in January 2024. Previously, they lived in mid-Missouri, where they were actively involved with the Missouri NICA league as coaches and Chief Course Marshals served on the board of their local trail association and led rides for the women/trans/femme mountain biking club they co-founded. Over the past few years, Angela has coached at the Women of Oz Sunset Summit and Rooted MTB Festival and has been an active volunteer and ride leader at Grit Fest and Roam Fest.
Angela is a BICP Level 2 Certified Instructor, an Instructor Trainer for the BICP, and holds Wilderness First Aid certification. She knew MTB coaching was a path she wanted to pursue, so she took her first BICP course in 2018. Working with riders of all ages, Angela values meeting each rider where they are at. She loves helping riders gain confidence, work through their fears, and develop stronger mental and physical skills for mountain biking. She takes pride in creating welcoming and inclusive learning environments where riders can thrive and find success. Ang embodies kindness, curiosity, and bravery in their daily life and coaches with those values at the forefront. Mountain biking, at its core, is pure bliss, and Ang delights in experiencing the different and individualized blissful moments with each rider as they learn and progress.
Ang coaches locally in Bellingham through Radical Roots MTB and March Northwest.
She looks forward to more mountain biking adventures and leveling up those skills with you!
